When it comes to fall, it's all about creating a warm, cozy and inviting atmosphere at home. Yes, pumpkins and leaves are always great for fall, but there are a few other ways to achieve that cozy feeling. Velvet, woven baskets, brass, quilts and matte black home accessories are a few of the fall trends we're loving right now. Read on to see how you can incorporate these luxe fall touches into your home.

Velvet

This slightly retro feeling fabric is great for creating a cozy fall feel since it's not quite time to break out the faux fur. The slight sheen and soft vibe make it a perfect partner for natural wood pieces. Add some velvet to your favorite space with a few pillows or a throw.

Woven Baskets

Woven baskets are something that you can use throughout your house. They're great for storage in a bathroom for holding extra towels, perfect for keeping all your blankets in one place in the living room and a fun way to organize your mudroom. It pairs well with velvet and contemporary pieces.

Brass

Copper has had its time in the spotlight (don't worry a copper sink will never go out of style), but now brass is taking center stage. It adds warms and a bit of metallic shine to a space in a very elegant way. Plus mixes well with other metals. A new floor lamp or geometric bar tray are great ways to incorporate brass.

Quilts

Changing your bedding will instantly change the look and feel of a room by adding color, texture and pattern to the space. A slight chill in the air indicates that it's time for warmer bedding, but it's not quite cold enough for your down comforter. A quilt is a great piece to layer into your bedding and it adds a homey touch to the bedroom.

Matte Black

Black is always a classic and always seems to find a way to reinvent itself year after year. This year opt for a few matte black accessories. A few vases are great for a Halloween inspired tablescape, a matte black Kitchen-Aid says you mean cooking business and a desk filer adds the right amount of seriousness to the space.

Remember, layering colors and textures are the key to achieving that perfect fall look. It's as easy as swapping out pillows, putting out throws and bringing in rich hues in your accessories.
