People tend to think of themselves as a either a "big picture" or a "detail oriented" kind of person, but a designer must approach a project with both perspectives in mind. They must use the details to bring the big picture to life and the details to accurately reflect the big picture. Whether it's the type of materials used or the placement of items, the littlest things that make all the difference.

If you follow along with us on Instagram, you saw that we recently attended an exclusive workshop at Chateau Domingue where they debuted their line of architectural finishes. The finishes were developed by Eddie Dankers, Eve Ashcraft and Ruth Gay with the intent to bring back the beautiful and durable finishes that were used in the past.

The line of finishes includes plaster, lime wash and mineral paint. The plaster is 100% limestone from a quarry in Northern Italy and comes in 10 different colors. The lime wash and mineral paint are colored with natural colorants and 20 colors are currently available, but the full collection will include 140 colors.

We were so excited to be a part of the workshop and were actually a bit star stuck when we had the opportunity to meet Eddie and Eve in person! These finishes are absolutely gorgeous and we can't wait to start using them in our projects. Will you be the first Tracy Design Studio client to have a Domingue finish used in their home?
